I've set a goal to try and cook AT LEAST one recipe from each of the cookbooks on my shelf. Bonus points if I like it. Here is where I keep the list and the date.
Chocolate Pudding - Wildly Affordable Organic by Linda Watson - August 2016 (not good enough to repeat)
California Fiesta Quinoa Salad - The Passionate Vegetable by Suzanne Landry - August 2016 (this is SOOO good and a definite favorite)
Broccoli Brown Rice Cashew Casserole - The Glycemic Index Diet for Dummies by Meri Raffetto
- This was simple and delicious
Levantine Carrot Salad - Still Life With Menu by Mollie Katzen
- This was delicious, even though I goofed. I didn't read the full recipe, and shredded the carrots (they were supposed to be match-sticked and steamed). I also skipped the sauce...who has time for that?
Pasta with firm vegetables - How to Cook Without a Book by Pam Anderson (9/22/16)
Corn and Vegetable Chowder - 100 Days of Real Food by Lisa Leake (11/13/16)
Sweet and Sour Cabbage - Simple Food for the Good Life by Helen Nearing (11/24/16)
Carrot Ginger Soup - Bikini Bootcamp by Melissa Pearlman and Erica Gragg (11/27/16)
Chili Fest Chili - Moosewood Restaurant Cooking for Health (11/27/16)
Spicy peanut slaw - Perfect Vegetables (11/27/16)
Caponata - Complete Vegetarian Kitchen by Lorna Sass (12/3/16) - one of my faves. And nobody else likes it so it's all for ME ME ME ME.
Smoked Eggplant - World Vegetarian by Madhur Jaffrey (12/4/16) - this was really delicious
Chicken stew with cheddar dumplings - One Pot of the Day by Kate McMillan (12/4/16)
Roasted tomato and white bean soup from Bikini Bootcamp by Melissa Perlman and Erica Gragg. (1/8/17)
Roasted brussels sprouts with rosemary from The Oh She Glows Cookbookby Angela Liddon (1/1/17)
Quinoa Pineapple Stir Fry from Veganomicon by Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Hope Romero
Vegetable Tagine from The New Fast Food by Jill Nussinow (12/3/17). I got a new cookbook! This was the first recipe I tried, and it's a KEEPER.
